The following guide is here to help you set up your email on a new computer or device.

General Email Setting Information

Incoming POP3:

Account type: POP3

Server name: See chart below for setting for your system

Incoming Server: Port 110

Verify that “Server Requires Authentication” is checked, for both incoming and outgoing server settings.

 

Username: Full email address, for example – johndoe@yourlink.ca
Password: Current email password.

 

Outgoing POP3:

Server name: See chart below for settings for your system

Outgoing Server Port: 25  Note: SSL must be abled (on)

*Port 2525 is available as a backup option

Verify that “Server Requires Authentication” is checked, for both incoming and outgoing server settings.

SSL must be abled (on) for outgoing server settings.

 

Username: Full email address, for example – johndoe@yourlink.ca
Password: Current email password.

If you require an email password reset, please call your local Mascon office.

Incoming IMAP:

Account type: IMAP

Server name: See chart below for settings for your system

Incoming Server: Port 143

Verify that “Server Requires Authentication” is checked, for both incoming and outgoing server settings.

 

Username: Full email address, for example – johndoe@yourlink.ca
Password: Current email password.

 

Outgoing IMAP:

Server name: See chart below for settings for your system

Outgoing Server Port: 25  Note: SSL must be abled (on)

or Incoming Server: Port 110

Password: Current email password.

 

Outgoing SMTP:

You do not have to use TELUS settings.

Server name: smtp.telus.net if you choose to use TELUS settings

Outgoing Server Port: 465  Note: SSL must be abled (on)

or Outgoing Server Port: 25

 

Username: Full email address, for example – johndoe@yourlink.ca
Password: Current email password.

If you require an email password reset, please call your local Mascon office.

TELUS Mail Server Settings


You do not need to use TELUS setting unless you choose to or are experiencing email setting issues.

If you are using POP3, use pop.telus.net

If you are using IMAP, use imap.telus.net
